• Can you take care of my child in between classes?
    • Yes, we do have a room where your child can stay in between classes which is supervised by a member of our staff. Your child will not be allowed, however, to run around outside this room. They will be collected from their first class and taken to their second class at the correct time.
  • How does your waitlist policy work?
    • When a requested class is full we will wait-list your child. We require a deposit of $50 per child per course in order to wait-list your child. The cheque will not be deposited until confirmation of enrolment.
  • Does Da Little School have trial classes?
    • Trial classes are available in time slots that are not yet full with existing students. A charge of one class, pro rated to the course cost will be charged for each trial class. This fee must be paid prior to taking the class.
  • What is your catch up/make up class policy?
      • For students who enrol partway through the two-month term, parents may either pay pro rata for the remaining classes or arrange one or two catch-up classes to achieve the same level as the other students in the class
      • We can arrange make-up classes only for children who miss their regular class either through sickness or travel overseas. We cannot arrange make-ups for other reasons
      • We must be informed one day in advance and in writing of classes to be missed so that we can schedule the make-up classes and inform our teachers. Classes missed without proper notice will not be made-up later
      • A maximum of two make-ups may be made per term, regardless of the reason for the make-ups
      • Make-up classes must be taken within the two-month term and cannot be carried over to the next term
      • If our available dates for make-up lessons do not match your child’s availability, we cannot guarantee a replacement class. Space available is on a first come, first served basis
      • We cannot reschedule a missed make-up class
      • Make-up classes cannot be accumulated to offset the tuition fees for the following term
  • Can I take photos or film at my child's classes?
    • Many of the courses at Da Little School have been registered and trademarked. This means the content of the courses is owned by Da Little School International Limited. We request that each parent/caregiver who wishes to film or photograph any part of a class sign a Copyright Agreement form.

By signing the form we ask you:
      • To focus only on your child and not on others' children
      • Not to use the images taken for financial or commercial gain
      • Not to interrupt the teaching of the class
      • To respect the proprietary nature of all classes and not to infringe on copyrights, registration marks, and trademarks
  • How do I give notice that my child will leave a class? Will my deposit be returned?
    • We ask you to give 14 days written notice (by fax, letter, or email - not via the telephone), as specified in our terms and conditions, so that we have time to inform someone who may be on the waitlist that there will be a space available in the class. We cannot always get in touch with them straightaway. Also, we plan in advance for all classes and 14 days enables us to modify these plans if necessary. The deposit is returned to those when you give the full 14 days written notice.
  • What is your policy on eating and drinking at Da Little School?
    • Children are not permitted to eat in class, as food provides a distraction to others and may be dangerous if certain children are allergic to food being consumed. We do provide a drink and small snack for children in our ArtPlay® and BookStart™. Please advise us of any food or other allergies.
  • What are your safety policies?
    • Our policy in case of fire - We have a fire evacuation procedure clearly posted in every studio and administration room and all staff have been trained in what to do in the event of a fire. Our premise are safe with hose reels and sprinklers, and we have our own fire extinguishers.

Our policy in case of an accident - Most of our staff hold a current first aid certificate and have been trained to handle minor injuries. Where necessary, we will contact the parent if they were not present to explain what happened. For more serious injuries, the parent will be informed immediately and advice sought. The parent will be asked about their preferred appropriate action. In the unlikely event of severe injuries we will call an ambulance and a member of staff will accompany the child if the parent can not be located.
  • What is your hygiene policy?
    • Da Little School employs professional cleaners who work throughout the day keeping the premises clean and tidy. All studios and waiting areas are regularly cleaned and sterilised, whilst pillows, props, costumes, etc, are all regularly dry cleaned. We have a regular spraying for pests during non-teaching hours or at holiday times when the centre is closed.
